Watershed_386x657_grande_smWe are so proud to share the news that our film Watershed, produced and narrated by Robert Redford, which tells the story of the Raise The River project, is among the films selected for the official programming of the Climate Generations Areas, at the United Nations Climate Summit in Paris – COP21.

MORE TIME TO MATCH!

Great news! As we make our final push to achieve our goal of raising $10 million to reconnect the Colorado River to the sea and restore life in the Delta, Raise The River is less thank $25,000 away from achieving success.

We are about to win this campaign.

Raise The River is extending a heart-felt invite for all to join us now, and be a part of bringing home this landmark win for conservation and our iconic river.

Video – ‘Report From the Field’ – A week with Raise the River

As part of our weekly video series, “Report From the Field“, Dr. Osvel Hinojosa of Pronatura Noroeste — a member of the Raise the River coalition — takes us with him during a typical week of work in the Colorado River Delta.  From monitoring base flows to restoration design meetings and field work to monitor the response of newly planted vegetation, the work never stops for restoring this region. To see more of our activities, all of the Report from the Field videos are available for viewing on the Raise the River YouTube channel.

From now through October 31, every dollar contributed to Raise the River is matched through a generous initiative by Hunter Industries. And, with less than $25,000 to go to reach our $10 million funding goal, we’re inviting everyone to join us, and be a part of this ‘win’ for conservation and the iconic Colorado River. Please consider sharing our work with your network of friends, or adding to your donation to help us bring water and life back to the Colorado River Delta. Donations are received via our Rally page. Thank you!

Raise the River – Gifts for the Goal!!!

Raise the River is making good progress on our Go For The Goal outreach to raise the final $25,000 of the initial goal of raising $10 million – funding necessary to our efforts to reconnect the Colorado River to the sea and restore life in the Delta.

But we still need your help – and, we want as many people as possible to join us in winning this historic campaign to restore the beloved Colorado River. To help inspire more contributions, today we are adding Gifts for the Goal!

When you donate:

  • $25, you’ll receive a DVD of our WATERSHED film, executive produced and narrated by Robert Redford, which generated widespread awareness to the River’s plight and challenges, and has become central to the grassroots effort to save the Colorado River.
  • $50, you’ll receive a WATERSHED logo 6L stainless water bottle. Eco-friendly and compact, it’s a practical reminder of your contribution to this cause.
  • $100 or more, you’ll receive a WATERSHED logo 6 oz. stainless steel flask – for the discriminating imbiber to bring along their preferred beverages.

And when you donate today, you double the impact of your giving to bring water and life back to the Delta, as Hunter Industries will generously match, dollar-for-dollar, all contributions to Raise the River up to $25,000 from now through October 31. We are immensely appreciative of Hunter Industries, and their stewardship and commitment to the Colorado River.

So much progress has already been made — we’ve planted more than 160,000 cottonwood and willow trees on 654 acres of restored land, since reconnecting the Colorado River with the ocean for the first time in 60 years, just over a year ago. But perhaps the most inspiring of the results has been witnessing the restoration of community pride among the residents living along the Delta corridor, who have their river back again, and with it, new forms of economic opportunity.

Won’t you join us? Donate now, and be part of bringing home this landmark win for conservation and our iconic river.

Only $25,000 to go to reach our goal!!!

Raise The River is in the home stretch — just $25,000 away, from achieving its initial goal of raising $10 million to reconnect the Colorado River to the sea and restore life in the Delta.

Please join us now in bringing home this landmark win for conservation and our iconic river.

To help us reach this goal as quickly as possible – as well as provide a head start on achieving our next funding requirements – Hunter Industries will generously match, dollar-for-dollar, all contributions to Raise the River up to $25,000 from now through October 31. Hunter Industries has a legacy of stewardship and commitment to the Colorado River, and has partnered with Raise the River, Change the Course, The Sonoran Institute, and Protect the Flows in this effort. When you donate today, you double the impact of your giving to bring water and life back to the Delta.

We’ve come a long way with your help. Last year, the Colorado River reconnected with the ocean for the first time in 60 years. We’ve planted more than 160,000 cottonwood and willow trees on 654 acres of restored land. Beyond these environmental gains, the results are much richer – residents living along the Delta corridor have their river back again, and with it comes pride, new forms of economic opportunity, and community.

Donate now, any amount will help, and be part of winning this historic campaign and restoring the mighty Colorado River.
